SPLS New Content on Health for Elementary School Students

Today we have a group of students blog sharing the content they have created in the Student Personalized Learning System.

Four students enrolled in the Waukee Aspiring Professional Experience (APEX) Program, specifically the exploration of Health Sciences and Medicine team, have designed a curriculum for Kindergarten through Second graders about how to stay healthy.

These students are (L to R): Najia Tehreem, Warda Mussaddiq, Za'mauri Bates and Chloe Olson

Our module is called "Keeping Healthy" and can be found in the Student Personalized Learning System on the AEA website. It is available to any and all students or teachers across the state of Iowa. The information that students will learn in this module is: How to keep sanitized, the five food groups, getting enough sleep, and staying active!

We chose this topic because we are all interested in going into the medical field in the near future. We all have a strong passion for kids to stay healthy so we thought making this module would be a further step in that direction. Our module was added to the Student Personalized Learning System on the AEA website. There are also plenty of other modules on the that are available for students and teachers to use. Including: agriculture, biology, college prep, writing, Mental Health Coloring Book and much more!
